The project consists of two modular buildings carefully tailored for port operations:
Main HQ Building: approximately 33 feet wide by 66 feet long, functioning as an open operational space for logistics activities, cargo handling, and real-time port coordination.
Support Building: approximately 16 feet wide by 33–49 feet long, equipped with a full roof structure, designed for offices, dispatch rooms, technical equipment storage, and staff facilities.
Both structures are based on our robust OptiMax steel moment frame modules, engineered to endure high-traffic, coastal environments. The units are finished with marine-grade coatings to resist saltwater corrosion and heavy operational wear. The layouts include reinforced flooring, secure access systems, weather-resistant insulation, and integrated infrastructure pathways to accommodate real-time IT and communications operations.
Rapid on-site assembly ensured minimal disruption to ongoing port activities, enabling full operational readiness within a tight schedule.
IteraSpace’s modular technology delivered maximum flexibility and technical sophistication. Each building features fully integrated HVAC systems, energy-efficient lighting, and optimized layouts for seamless worker mobility and cargo operations.
Built from recyclable Type 2B noncombustible steel and sustainable materials, the structures offer a 50+ year lifespan, and can be expanded, reconfigured, or relocated in the future without generating construction waste.
The OptiMax system’s built-in adaptability future-proofs the headquarters against evolving operational needs, while supporting the port’s long-term environmental sustainability objectives.
Designed for durability in harsh port conditions, both buildings feature marine-grade steel protection, industrial-grade paneling, and reinforced foundations capable of withstanding heavy machinery traffic, salt exposure, and high humidity.
Thanks to superior structural engineering, the units offer exceptional resistance to wear and corrosion, ensuring reliable 24/7 operation with minimal maintenance requirements over decades of service.
Prefabrication was key to achieving outstanding cost efficiency. All components—including steel frames, roof systems, wall panels with pre-installed mechanical and electrical systems—were produced offsite and shipped compactly to the project location.
On-site assembly was completed in just 120 days, drastically reducing labor costs and site disruption.
By utilizing the modular OptiMax system, the client benefits from a flexible, reconfigurable facility that can adapt to future demands without costly new construction.
Environmental responsibility is a core value of IteraSpace’s design philosophy.
The modular logistical HQ is primarily composed of recycled steel and sustainable materials, with excellent thermal insulation, energy-efficient systems, and a recyclable end-of-life pathway.
Low energy consumption HVAC systems and a heat-recovery ventilation setup further reduce operational emissions, contributing to the port’s broader environmental goals and green certifications.
From European ports to global logistics centers, IteraSpace is setting new standards in modular construction.
This dual-building HQ project, completed in just 120 days, proves our capability to deliver durable, future-proof, and environmentally responsible solutions for high-intensity operations.
